I've been having a couple of real-life actor crushes recently. Usually I only just like 2D guys (because I am a hikkikomori at heart, like Kiku) but well... it started when I developed a crush for Jung Yunho from DBSK. First it was Yunho, then Shawn, then Milo and then Eka.
The thing is, I somehow pick the guys who actually star in either homosexual roles or homosexual-themed movies. LOL. And who has kissed another man on film.
I liked them BEFORE I found out about those roles of theirs and now... if I were another girl that would have probably broken my heart or something, but being a BL fan, I end up just being extremely shocked and happy at the same time. Weird. Haha!
Shocked because I usually deal with 2D BL, so real life guys together aren't my usual thing. However, these guys I have been seeing together recently are just both SO BEAUTIFUL/HANDSOME that well-- it's like I'm watching bishounen anyway. (It's still different of course but I'm just refererring to the similarities in aesthetic aspects.)
Then when I find out, I end up falling in love with them even more. Haha! It's so freaking hilarious. Anyway, when I get a crush it's not the "I wanna marry him!" kinda feeling for me. I just really like to see him a lot and see how he's like... IDK I must be asexual or something. I really don't like to get involved with guys in THAT way.
For the record, I don't know if they're truly homosexual or not but I couldn't really care less about that trivial detail. What touches me is that they are open-minded and secure enough about their sexuality to do those stuff in front of the cameras.
They don't just do pron either mind you... the roles they star in are meaningful and romantic even.
The way I say it, it's like there are a lot of them lol, when I'm really just referring to my 2 consecutive celebrity crushes: Shawn Roberts & Eka Darville.
Eka in particular, is my most recent shocker. He stars as Ranger Series Red in Power Rangers RPM for crying out loud!!! Isn't Power Rangers aimed at kids? What if they search up his name in Google and find pics and videos of his role as Pietros in Spartacus? LOL. I love it. I love how dangerous it all is and how he didn't care about that and just accepted the beautiful role. When I watched him as Pietros, I forget that he's also the Red Ranger.

I thought it was strange that I seemed to like Eka so much when I first watched RPM! I never expected that he was this radical though. I've never had a crush on dark-skinned boy before if I recall correctly. What I love most about Eka is his acting in RPM. He does both drama and comedy really well. Offstage he's so cheerful and smiley that it makes me happy too.

Okay this doesn't really have to do with your entry...or it sorta does, I can't tell hahahaha.
Have you seen the movie "Merry Christmas Mr.Lawrence"? It's a sooooorta homosexual movie made by a Japanese director. I only heard about it because I'm OBSESSED with the song of the same title. The forbidden and suppressed feeling romance between the characters seem really interesting to me. I haven't watched it yet sadly...but I will!!
In the book, Celliers and the Japanese captain Yonoi had a mutual attraction when they first met at court- Celliers recalled "two peacocks admiring each other's beautiful feathers'. << that line got me.
And then the scene of a Korean soldier, condemned to is to commit seppuku because he was caught in an 'improper' relationship with one of the Dutch prisoners. As the execution is carried out, the Dutch prisoner, who is forced to watch it along with the rest of the prisoners and the Japanese officials as well, bites his tongue and then dies of suffocation himself.

BL is meant to be fantasy. When a girl writes a smut scene, of course it's overly romantic and of course she won't go into the nitty-gritty details about penetration and how hard it is for the seme to get his cock into the uke's ass or anything distastefully vulgar like that because SHEESH it's a freaking fantasy! It's not an educational 'how-to' article. It's meant to violate rules and be decorated.
These are the times when I feel like there should be a "Girls Only!!!" sign in front of the metaphorical gate of BL. I know there are some decent gays who don't mind the fantastical interpretations and even enjoy it, but when I encounter those who feel like they are smarter than fangirls just because they had sex with another man for real, it's so annoying.
It's funny cause most of the time, when I talk to a gay guy friend about BL, I feel very uncomfortable. The gay guy usually ruins my fantasies by saying all kinds of awkward stuff (like references to his past boyfriend or past sexual encounters) which I don't find appealing.
When I talk to a STRAIGHT guy friend about BL though, I am more at home! My straight guy pals who discuss BL with me and share ideas about it are usually more romantic-minded and the stuff they contribute are squeal-worthy.

After watching some fan videos, I learned about the band "Safetysuit".
My 'nesan gave me a copy of their album "Life Left to Go" and... I fell in love. I haven't stopped listening to it since. I have the entire album on loop most of the time while I do my homework and I just feel so at home with their music.
I have 4 favorite songs: Anywhere But Here, Find A Way, Stay & What If. But everything else sounds awesome as well. Here're 2 samples...

As if I weren't already drowning in stuff and fandoms that I am in love with, a new addition arrives-- again. You know I'm thinking maybe I should get used to this haha.
The newest pairing I like is ANOTHER real-life slash pair. This would be the 3rd real-life slash pair I've fallen in love with over the course of the year then.

I AM ACTUALLY TALKING ABOUT POWER RANGER SLASH LOL.
I never imagined there would come a day when I would be talking about this series. This series which I grew up seeing on TV when I was a kid and always felt like it was cheesy lol. Mighty Morphin was entertaining but it just wasn't something I'd be a fan of. The next Power Rangers I'd get to watch was SPD, and STILL my opinion didn't change much: it was entertaining but I didn't feel attached. I even watched Abaranger sometime back since a high school pal of mine was really into this sentai stuff.
But RPM... my brain still hasn't quite registered it as another Power Rangers series actually. It iss just THAT COOL and different.
From the time I watched episode 1 I was completely enamored by their resident clown and pretty uke Ranger Green: ZIGGY GROVER.
I THINK HE'S PRETTY. Not just Ziggy though, everyone in RPM is so damn LOVABLE. EVERYONE. Even the Grinders yes. But Ziggy takes the spotlight. And his macho seme Dillon complements him wonderfully.
Haha... so you might be seeing some fanstuff of them sometime around here. At least I HOPE I can make some...

Even if I'm not so expert at them yet, they're really fun to use! I could spend hours or all day drawing in them...

I am so very behind everything that it was only recently when I discovered the works of Ibuxelyn! I saw this artwork in her livejournal and I couldn't stop laughing and staring at it! It's just one of the most adorable crack RoChu things I have ever seen. 
Ivan certainly looks pleased to have those miniature Yao-Yaos all over him! 
There's also something about the medium that she uses that makes me smile. It's so nostalgic to see a drawing done with markers like this! It reminds me of my younger days when I used to watch my 2nd eldest sister draw... she used to draw with markers like this all the time and she used similar techniques. I always loved the way she drew and the way it looked.
Now, seeing it on cute RoChu arts make me all sorts of happy and sentimental. LOL I think I will never be cured of my innate sappiness.

I'm not really the type of person who would be a big fan of Asian idol pop groups. I usually just seek out J-Rock and I have a lot of J-Rock band favorites. I'm not a big fan of bandslashing either... I admittedly became a fan of one bandslash pair but it was for a Western band and I was always quite hesitant about it.
Thanks to two of my lovely sisters however, I have been hearing and seeing a lot of this certain band which goes by so many names: DBSK, TVXQ, Tohoshinki.
After being exposed to a lot of stuff about DBSK, I have a huge amount of respect for them now. I first liked their music (Rising Sun and Purple Line) then after I saw how much effort they put in their work and live performances, I started to know them better.
The thing that really caught my attention about them and made me want to find out more about them though was the beautiful, undeniable chemistry of YunJae.
Thanks to two of my lovely sisters however, I have been hearing and seeing a lot of this certain band which goes by so many names: DBSK, TVXQ, Tohoshinki.
After being exposed to a lot of stuff about DBSK, I have a huge amount of respect for them now. I first liked their music (Rising Sun and Purple Line) then after I saw how much effort they put in their work and live performances, I started to know them better.

I have witnessed fabricated slash-fanservice in other bands like the "Johnny's" of Japan. That kinda freaked me out since IMHO, almost all of them looked like underdeveloped gay guys. They were all so young, skinny and their songs had catchy tunes but weren't really memorable to me. They had a whole ton of fanservice; from hugging to kissing etc. (We're talking about Japan here after all.) But no matter what they do, when the gestures and hints are fabricated, it doesn't feel as attractive.
With YunJae though, what I felt from them was nothing short of 'love'.
And when I say 'love', I just don't mean it in a 'slashy' kind of way. I really mean LOVE, in its purest, most innocent form. Simply two people who have this undeniably deep fondness for each other.
I once read someone say that with YunJae, you don't need to have them sexy, naked and going at it. They are most beautiful just when they are sweet and cute. Like when Jae helps Yun adjust his bandanna, when Yun helps Jae carry his bag, when they whisper in each other's ears at such intimate proximity, when they embrace...
Whether it's brotherly affection or romantic inclination, one thing is for sure: they are the best of friends and their deep friendship touches those who pay enough attention to notice it.
The way they look at each other, the way they always say they like each other a lot and the way they caress each other's hands... it's enough and too much already.
Of course I would love to think of it as 'real' and of them being a real couple, but I have a feeling we will never really find out. Not in this world, not in this society...
I have a feeling that whatever they truly are to each other is not something that fans are simply allowed to pry into so invasively. It may be complicated or utterly simple, but no matter what it is, it is something that only the 2 of them truly understand.
Now I may fantasize about them and think of them as more than friends, but I do not impose it on them or on other people. It is simply an idea that I cherish in my heart; something precious to me.
I don't appreciate lewd photo manipulations which portray them as having sex so blatantly or desecrate their image. I respect them too much to even think about it.
Truthfully, I don't see them as 'gays'. Gay implies that they have a natural attraction to the same sex; that they see ANY man as a potential partner.
However it doesn't seem like so. They only act certain ways in the exclusivity of each other's company. They both like girls I think (not so sure with Jae lol) and they are most likely bisexual more than homosexual.
It is something that transcends issues of gender. They simply love each other, period. I doubt it Jae would act as affectionate with just any good-looking dude who saunters up to him. He only seems to like Yunho that much because of everything they've been through together and because of who he is.
And Yunho is probably one of the only people in the world who truly understands Jae and loves him for it. Even if Jae's akward touches and displays catch Yun offhanded, I never saw Yun treat Jae rudely such as push him away or reprimand him. More often than not, Yun spoils him and returns the gesture or says things that he knows Jae wants to hear.
I am happy YunJae exists. Two very beautiful people finding each other and being so close to each other is something that I am always very happy to see.
I am very glad they are friends and I hope and pray that they will remain very close friends until the end.
I hope their friendship is not ruined by people who spread bad rumors about them, their superiors in their companies who dictate what they should and shouldn't be or society's discrimination.

I once read someone say that with YunJae, you don't need to have them sexy, naked and going at it. They are most beautiful just when they are sweet and cute. Like when Jae helps Yun adjust his bandanna, when Yun helps Jae carry his bag, when they whisper in each other's ears at such intimate proximity, when they embrace...
Whether it's brotherly affection or romantic inclination, one thing is for sure: they are the best of friends and their deep friendship touches those who pay enough attention to notice it.
The way they look at each other, the way they always say they like each other a lot and the way they caress each other's hands... it's enough and too much already.
Of course I would love to think of it as 'real' and of them being a real couple, but I have a feeling we will never really find out. Not in this world, not in this society...
I have a feeling that whatever they truly are to each other is not something that fans are simply allowed to pry into so invasively. It may be complicated or utterly simple, but no matter what it is, it is something that only the 2 of them truly understand.
Now I may fantasize about them and think of them as more than friends, but I do not impose it on them or on other people. It is simply an idea that I cherish in my heart; something precious to me.
I don't appreciate lewd photo manipulations which portray them as having sex so blatantly or desecrate their image. I respect them too much to even think about it.
Truthfully, I don't see them as 'gays'. Gay implies that they have a natural attraction to the same sex; that they see ANY man as a potential partner.
However it doesn't seem like so. They only act certain ways in the exclusivity of each other's company. They both like girls I think (not so sure with Jae lol) and they are most likely bisexual more than homosexual.
It is something that transcends issues of gender. They simply love each other, period. I doubt it Jae would act as affectionate with just any good-looking dude who saunters up to him. He only seems to like Yunho that much because of everything they've been through together and because of who he is.
And Yunho is probably one of the only people in the world who truly understands Jae and loves him for it. Even if Jae's akward touches and displays catch Yun offhanded, I never saw Yun treat Jae rudely such as push him away or reprimand him. More often than not, Yun spoils him and returns the gesture or says things that he knows Jae wants to hear.
I am happy YunJae exists. Two very beautiful people finding each other and being so close to each other is something that I am always very happy to see.
I am very glad they are friends and I hope and pray that they will remain very close friends until the end.
I hope their friendship is not ruined by people who spread bad rumors about them, their superiors in their companies who dictate what they should and shouldn't be or society's discrimination.

Yunbi LOL NOOOOO DUDI!! You've entered the dark side of K-pop!! Hahah just kidding. But 2 of my best friends and my sister listen to K-pop so now I'm stuck with it wherever I go- whether it be at home or out with friends.
I gotta admit, DBSK has some really good songs, sadly I'm not a band type of person so I don't know too much about them ^^;; But I agree with you. I think more than friends but less thank lovers (and no physical smut) is the most precious relationship. It tugs at my heart strings when I see lol.
You like Zuki x Aang? Awww too bad you don't like the cartoon because I think the "Blue Spirit", "Fire Bending Masters", and "The Invasion" are the episodes where they fully explore the dynamics of this pairing. I think of the reasons I didn't like the movie was because of Sokka. In the cartoon, he was the smart comedic relief (he was one of my favorite characters!) but in the movie they turned him to be so serious O_o.

Ohhh no actually, it's not that I don't like the cartoon, I just somehow got attached more to the movie because of Dev and Noah. LOL. Admittedly I can't really justify my preference much since I only watched a little cartoon eps. (My lil sis is an Avatard~ haha!) I think it's cute. Oh and yeah I saw the differences, especially Sokka. I was thinking actually that the movie strangely didn't seem to be made for the fans of the cartoons since most of the stuff the toon fans liked were changed.
I watched 'The Blue Spirit' and 'Fire Bending Masters' and I LOVED them! XDDDD Esp. Firebending masters! I am somewhat a supporter of ZukoAang in the cartoon as well. It was inevitable I guess? Haha!

I'm back from the almost week-long getaway to my gramma's place.
It was both a happy and traumatizing experience for reasons I will no longer expound. Anyway, I brought lots of paper and pencils along the trip so I could draw, unfortunately I had absolutely no drive to draw while I was there! It felt very strange staring at the white sheets of paper alongside my pencilcase and knowing I should be doing something with them but my body won't pick them up and cooperate.
The first day I went to gramma's, I had a mild cold. When I was there, I drank decaf 3x a day-- I was drinking it more than water. That was not such a great idea. I'm actually not a big coffee fan in the first place, but it was the only thing that I could use to bypass my lack of sugar. I think it was because of the coffee that my cough got worse. (It was good coffee though! Whatever brand it was...)
I didn't get to eat much sweet things during my stay, so on the day I finally left, I was craving for sweets really bad. I knew in the back of my mind that I shouldn't have eaten anything super cold and sweet on the way home because of my cough, but I did anyway. And now, I am suffering from a sore throat. Haha! I am such a genius. =A=
FC2 keeps being retarded on me, template-wise. Almost all the templates I try out have broken layouts... I know it's probably because of my excessive plug-in use but c'mon~ aren't there more templates meant to handle such a layout? D:
And since I'm on the subject of randomness, I will also write about the new additions to the list of my current obsessions

I am a big fan of this. And fans of this pairing are a VERY rare species! XD (I mean REALLY rare, as in I might be the only one lol.)
People probably have difficulty acknowledging their chemistry due to the fact that Dev looks so much taller and he is 7 years older than Noah. (And of course, they're both guys haha.) I don't blame them really. XDD
I, on the other hand, think they look absolutely adorable together. They have undeniable chemistry! They both look incredibly intelligent and both are extremely smexy. Also my predilection for couples with different complexions strikes again. I also love their versions of the characters since I am a fan of The Last Airbender Movie. I am one of those weird people who prefer it over the cartoon.

Ah, I never thought I would be a fan of bandslash again after Peterick...
I feel bad for saying this though, but I have never loved Peterick the way I love YunJae right now. Not to demean it or anything, but the driving force behind Peterick was mainly just my desire to see Patrick's uke side. I don't like Pete very much but they DID do a lot of slashy stuff... but it was mostly just for the fans IMHO. I don't think 'Trick appreciated it as much as Pete enjoyed it. =u=
But I digress haha, back to YunJae!

I guess the weird thing with me is that I treat the DBSK guys like they're characters from a BL manga, anime or drama series. I can't bring myself to fangirl over them the way their usual fangirls do like--- for example, my favorite is Yunho. I find him the most handsome of all, but I don't fantasize about being his girlfriend or marrying him or 'making him mine' someday. I really just like him with Jaejoong. In fact, I kind of expect him to marry a woman and have kids, but I don't ever expect him to forget Jaejoong. He can have kids and a wife, but who says he can't have Jae at the same time? Lol. Well of course it would make me quite sad, but... wahhh haha, what am I saying, I'm rambling! Point is, I see his relationship with Jae as something far deeper than just a relationship for show. It's something that can't be explained with words or theories but only felt with the heart. (LOL CHEESE.)
Hmm... so far those 2 are the only ones added. Gah... I swear one lifetime is not enough to worship all the pairings I love and they just keep on multiplying! I should stop watching new things...
